Shoot Four - Work Record

For this shoot, I plan to take photographs of cigarettes that have already been smoked, I liked the shoot that Irving Penn did so I wanted to do a shoot inspired by him, I will do this at home on my table with lights that I have, although this isn't as professional as it would be at college.
I hope to get a good shoot that will give me more ideas for future shoots, as I like simple shoots like this where it is focused on a single object, I think that it will work alongside my other black and white shoots (shoots 2 and 3).

ISO: 200
F/5.3
Shutter Speed: 1/125
I'm very happy with this image because it is so simple, although Irving penn didn't have much shadowing at all so next time I would like to use the studio as I think that it would work better without any shadowing. Further, it has focused on the tip of the cigarette rather than the whole thing, which means that your eyes are drawn more to one side of the cigarette than the other which wasn't my intention.

ISO: 200
F/5.3
Shutter Speed: 1/125
Due to the angle that I took the image at and the aperture that I used, one end of the cigarette is in focus more than the other end, which is quite annoying as I wanted the whole thing to be in focus, I think I would like to retry this shoot in a shoot style similar to my others, however for that shoot I would use unsmoked cigarettes.

I really liked this shoot and I think that it has taught me a lot about how to progress my work, I would like to do another shoot similar to this one for my exam shoot, although I will do it in the studio so that I can control the shadows and lighting a lot better.
